What’s new in Barcelona

I’ve done a scouting around the city to discover what’s new in Barcelona and this is what I’ve found.
Juno House
Say hi to Barcelona’s first members club designed by and for women with an emphasis on holistic well-being & professional development. The house, located on Diagonal & Aribau, offers business, wellness and motherhood services for the modern woman looking to grow her career & streamline her day in a chic and elegant setting. Designed as a catalyst for collaboration and a refuge for work/life balance, Juno House aims to make life easier and more inspiring. From motherhood to career reinvention Juno House provides a safe space for members to grow. Guided by NYC roots, Juno House is a hub for creativity, productivity, and international synergies. Founded by a team of women from the United States and Spain, Juno House is located in the heart of Barcelona in one of the city’s most emblematic buildings with inspiring places to work. Inside you will find an oasis of calm with a buzzing café, juno house shop, analog library, boutique fitness studio, beauty Bar, kids classes and a cozy space where members can relax and socialize in a cocktail bar and private dining space. You know… By and for women, the new reference point for work/life balance, collaboration and self-care in Barcelona. All under one chic roof.
Apriori
Welcome to Apriori, Barcelona's new trendiest restaurant that transforms at midnight. The restaurant is divided into two floors so that each of them focuses on one modality, day and night. The upper floor is designed for meals in a brighter environment, and the lower floor is designed for dining in a darker environment where starting at 11:30 p.m., drinks are served to the rhythm of songs “that never go out of style”. Its cuisine offers two concepts: "product" and "true". With them they intend to convey the essence of traditional and seasonal cuisine – some unique options are served on the menu that vary every week or every 10 days depending on the moment. Authenticity is also the basis of the restaurant's B side: the space is set in the 60s and its musical proposal focuses on rhythms that have crossed decades and that are suitable for all tastes. "We were tired of having to choose between boring places with good food or places with a good atmosphere and a bad menu. That's why we wanted to do Apriori," says Duarte, one of the three project partners. Finally, the most recent innovation is its collaboration with Mantequerías Pirenaicas and Sacha Barcelona to offer breakfast in their establishment. Thanks to the agreement, now every morning, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., they also offer sandwiches, omelettes and butter croissants for breakfast and specialty coffee and teas from Cafés El Magnífico.
Yu Bi Barcelona
Barcelona is a trendy city in design, architecture, fashion and gastronomy. At the beginning of December Yu Bi, a restaurant with the subtitle Asian Cuisine, French Gastronomy, opened in the Eixample. Yubi in Japanese means finger, and at the same time they are the initials of the chef, Yoake, her husband and her two daughters. Yoake San is half French, half Japanese and this mixture translates into a perfection in his technique and a meticulous choice of high quality products, as well as the influence of French cuisine, of which we find many touches in her dishes. The place is divided into two parts with two very different concepts: YU Experience: a French-Japanese gastronomic experience, all in an elegant and very chic environment. BI Experience: the most casual option where Japanese dishes and cocktails are the protagonists of the menu in a very cool space that allows you to enjoy gastronomic creations and also with a unique musical choice.
Tamae Bar
Tamae Bar brings together two chefs and former chefs from elBulli, Eugeni de Diego (A Pluma) and Albert Raurich (Dos Palillos) to offer their version of Asian food most suitable for 'take away' in the creation of a model of a restaurant that, in fact, is not. In its premises you will find a bar with eight seats, open kitchen, option for home delivery and takeaway. Raurich and de Diego have decided to unite the elegant world of sushi with Asian street food to create innovative dishes that will bring the East closer to Barcelona in an experience for all audiences.
Collonut Barcelona (Les Corts)
The third already in Barcelona. ??The new Collonut Barcelona located in the Les Corts neighborhood arrives to honor its brothers as a new "Neighborhood Bar in the neighborhood and for the neighborhood". With the same modern aesthetic that mixes craftsmanship with graphic design, they now dress the entire premises on Calle Gelabert, 14. At Collonut you can enjoy a friendly and young atmosphere. A meeting point for Barcelona vermouth, Collonut Les Corts has won over its customers by offering local cheeses, sausages, preserves and vermouths. Do not forget to try the "collonut potatoes", the bikinis and their homemade croquettes.
Bar-Bar
In Hindi, Bar-Bar means "again and again". Thus, Nikihil Mahale, a chef from Mumbai living in London and director of the very successful Farzi Cafe London, has now settled in Barcelona with the idea of offering a "modern" version of traditional Indian cuisine to make you come back again and again. The place is austere and bare: here the center is found in the kitchen. The menu, a single and minimalist sheet with ten starters and ten mains. From 'shikampuri kebab' – lamb meat minced thirteen times, 'gobi number 65', cauliflower balls battered with garlic and yogurt, subtle and aromatic, chicken 'tikka masala' and 'nari naan' -Indian bread- freshly made in the traditional oven.
Carmina
Inspired by a Cuban colonial house, this new restaurant has been created by Quintana Partners design studio. The new place to be in the city has opened in the heart of the Ribera neighborhood, an inn restored in an old 19th-century travel house. With the idea of reviving the best times of this Catalan inn, the project has been built around a central glazed patio, overflowing with plants and with the original paintings restored. The space breathes the atmosphere of a Cuban colonial house thanks to the use of warm, reddish colors and rattan textures that evoke the Caribbean with a cosmopolitan touch. Also, upstairs, a hidden door reveals the best speakeasy bar in the neighborhood. The Carmina restaurant is called to become a place of pilgrimage for diners who appreciate traditional Catalan spoon cuisine made with proximity products grown with time.

A concept store style combined with an art gallery of our times, NºHº Hºuse creates new opportunities for artists of all kinds. El Venadito 4
Since last April 6, it is open El Venadito 4th ed. Biennial of Art Against Animal Abuse. In this edition, the exhibition takes primates as protagonists, to give them a voice and expose their situation of vulnerability. In an innovative format, a delocalized exhibition, there will be 21 spaces that will exhibit the 26 works. We can find one or two works anywhere in the spaces that host the exhibition. Centers of all kinds participate. The Museum of Natural Sciences, artistic spaces, cultural and civic centers, country houses... Clearly the democratization of art and its approach is also one of the objectives of this new proposal. Open until July 14.
